It’s amazing how we always seem to repeat phases in fashion. For example, who ever thought bell bottom jeans would be back in style. Granted, the jeans of today aren’t as extreme as they were in the 1970s but they are back nonetheless. We seem to do this with everything – hairstyles, clothing styles, even music. And, of course, don’t forget the jewelry.
Let’s look at bracelets as an example. Now, a few decades ago it seemed like the only types of bracelets around, especially diamond bracelets, were the diamond tennis bracelets. Dainty, elegant, and with a hint of sophistication, these bracelets were coveted by women the world over. Just a few decades before that, however, the styles had a more international flare, especially styles from India and Africa. And before that, the styles were influenced by the art deco craze of the period.
Today, we have a plethora of bracelet styles to choose from, and what’s exciting about this is that if you want a diamond bracelet, your only option isn’t just a tennis bracelet. Of course there are plenty of tennis bracelets to choose from. You can have the classic white diamonds in a yellow gold setting, or you can choose white diamonds in a sterling silver or white gold setting or even platinum. Or add some colored stones and alternate between emeralds, for instance, and white diamonds. Some of the most brilliant tennis bracelets are those that alternate between five or six colored stones, whether they are gemstones like emeralds, rubies, and amethysts, or a variety of colored diamonds.
Other types of diamond bracelets are yellow or white gold bangles inlayed with diamonds; simple yet elegant and appropriate for casual settings. There are the intricately designed vintage art deco styles, too. These are generally white diamonds set in white gold with a fabulous and artistic design. This is something that can be worn in just about any setting as well, but it will bring major style and flare to your outfit. It will dress up your every day outfit and bring class and elegance to your more formal outfits.
Another fun diamond bracelets type that was popular decades ago that is making a comeback is the animal bracelets. Usually the head of a lion, tiger, or leopard, the bracelet was usually made with pave diamonds and additional stones, such as emeralds or sapphires, for the animal’s eyes. Talk about an absolutely stunning piece!
Diamond bracelets are not cheap. They are definitely an investment. But they last for years and can because of their quality, be handed down throughout the generations. So the next time you decide to make an investment in yourself, consider a diamond bracelet. You won’t regret it!
